Our story.

The development of our family business, from its trading roots in 2003 to Bemiyo.

2003: It starts with a van

Bemiyo began small — with a handful of ranges sold from the back of a van to local shops, market stalls, and retailers who valued a good card at a fair price.

There was no warehouse, no website, and no big operation behind it. Just strong products, honest service, and a growing number of customers who kept coming back.

2008: Bookmark Iberia SL

Five years of work turned a side venture into a real business. We registered officially as Bookmark Iberia SL — the name retailers across Spain would come to know, trust, and reorder from season after season.

2010: Our first warehouse

We put down roots in Almoradí, Alicante, opening our first proper warehouse. With it came cash & carry — retailers could finally walk the aisles, handle the product, and pick their ranges in person.

2012: Our first online presence

In early 2012, we launched our first website.

It was simple, practical, and very much grassroots — but it marked an important step forward. For the first time, customers could find us online, discover more about what we offered, and see the beginnings of what would later become a much bigger digital wholesale operation.

2014: Room to grow

Demand outgrew the walls. We moved into a far larger warehouse, expanded the cash & carry, and loaded the first pallets bound beyond Spain — the start of shipping across the EU and further afield.

2018: Ten years strong

Ten years after registering as Bookmark Iberia SL, we had reached an important milestone.

Every year had built on the last: more loyal trade customers, stronger supplier relationships, sharper ranges, and a clearer understanding of what independent retailers needed from a wholesale partner.

2019: Gota fría

A massive gota fría — a violent autumn storm — swept across Spain, bringing torrential rain, flash flooding, and a very real threat to our warehouse. For a while, it looked like the water might completely overwhelm the area and cause serious damage to the building, stock, and equipment inside.

Thankfully, we were incredibly lucky. Despite the chaos outside, we escaped with only minor damage, and everyone stayed safe. It could have been much worse, and we’re grateful to the whole team for reacting quickly and keeping things under control.

And yes, that is our warehouse manager making the best of the situation by “sailing” down the street outside the warehouse. Not exactly part of his job description, but definitely one for the company history books.

2023: Hail storm

A sudden and severe hailstorm hit Almoradí, causing major damage to the warehouse roof.

Rain and hail entered the building, damaging stock and forcing us to close temporarily while the roof was fully replaced. It was a difficult moment for the business, but also another reminder of the resilience of the team — and of how quickly everyone can pull together when it matters most.

2026: Bemiyo

Our boldest step yet.

In 2026, we rebranded as Bemiyo — a new name for a much broader, stronger, and more ambitious wholesale business.

The rebrand marked more than a change of identity. It reflected a major expansion of our stock offering, sharper systems, improved capabilities, and a renewed focus on serving independent retailers across Europe.
